DMT: Questions and Answers from Facebook
I have been getting quite a few questions on my facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/damien.oriley) and I wanted anyone coming to my blog to have access to some of those questions and my personal answers. Hope you get something out of it.
Question: I am a-skeered of it and wonder why we need a drug or whatever you want to call it to “unlock” that part of our brains. Damien were you alone when you tried it? What was your physical state? Were you able to move around while you were having this experience or was it as if you were only dreaming? If you were able to move around…were you not … Read Moreafraid you might do something that could get yourself or someone else hurt? Did you have control of yourself? How can you be sure you just weren’t having hallucinations instead of some mind blowing enlightenment?
Answer: Good questions Jenn. Hallucinations are images of the mind with little or no value. They are “usually” things like when you’re on acid; carpet moves, you see squiggly lines, peoples faces melt…they’re basically like being in a carnival mirror room. While you are experiencing DMT, you see things that have content, intrinsic value. What you learn… Read More is valuable, applicable knowledge that you grow from. Have you ever had way too much to drink? Did you learn anything valuable other than “I may not want to do this again”? Chances are, no. Thats because the alcohol only altered your thinking, mushed it up. While experiencing DMT, you are constantly receiving a steady flow of insights about yourself, the world…other people. You come out of it, having practical knowledge that empowers you…not tears you down like most drugs.
Also, if you watch the latest videos I posted (Which I posted for a reason) you will see that your brain secretes DMT already while you are sleeping…the problem is, most of your life you forget what you dreamed upon awakening. With DMT, you are able to access those deep areas of your psyche…awake. I was alone and will be for at least a week. Michele is in the states taking care of some business. What you do while taking DMT, is go find a quiet room and lay down. Only an idiot would take … Read Moreanything…even over the counter cold medicine, and try to do things like drive or walk down the side of the road.
This is NOT a party drug, you dont go to DMT wanting a party experience. Thats where some people are getting confused. They think this is like Acid or Extacy…how sad. Get educated, thats why I posted the videos. Your brain doesnt naturally produce Acid or Ecstasy…but it does produce DMT, only in low doses. Except, at death. Then you get a high dose of DMT. Wonder why? Think about it, why would your brain give you a megadose of DMT, at death? To prepare you for something? To cause a needed awakening?
The old argument of “Why do we need a ABC to do…xyz” is an argument used to justify to oneself why one doesn’t pursue differnt paths other than what it normal for their friends and family, it’s a cop out. Why do you eat? To get nourishment to live! Why do you sleep? To get rest and so your body can function! Why do you take vitamins? To help your… Read More body stay healthy! Why do you exercise? To help your body stay fit! Body…Body…Body…Body, its all for the body!
What do you do for your mind? Your awareness? Your sleeping greatness?
No ones body just STAYS healthy…we do things in order to get different results. Sure, you don’t have to take vitamins…it’s a choice. You don’t have to eat healthy…you can do something Else. You take certain actions to get certain results. People take DMT to grow, strengthen and transform other aspects of their lives. It’s a choice. No one is saying you “have to”….you do if you want the results. If you dont want the results, don’t. Simple
Something else to realize Jen, is you’re not talking to someone who has never tried drugs and therefore cant make an educated comparison between them.
I have tried just about everything so I CAN make an educated comparison.
I have felt most drugs and what they do to your mind and body. There is no comparison between DMT and other drugs. If … Read Morethere were, I would gladly say “Hey guys, tried DMT…woohoo, next!” I gain nothing by claiming DMT is something other than what it is and does something other than what it does. I say, along with tens of thousands of others, that DMT is a doorway to the soul and unseen aspects of your mind and being. As new-agey and hokey as that sounds, it’s 100% what I now know to be true, now. Not from books, theory, philosophy or religion told in the 3rd person by imperfect men. But from experience.
Question: Damien…I know that you have great self awareness. But out of love of a friend I want you to reexamine yourself to make sure there is no ego motivation involved. 100% of your real friends would be glad to see you not go through with this; could this be an unnecessary risk? Don’t let your announcement of doing this be the motivation for continuing if you feel that it’s not the right time.
Answer: Hey Lisa, thank you for the consideration. I really do appreciate it. My 100% real friends are the ones that support my decisions because they truly know me. My Facebook friends only know OF me, through reading my posts. My friends that have actually spent time with me know how careful I am with my body. Every 3 months I go on a full body detox to rid it of food toxins, medication toxins and to rejuvenate my blood. I have a fantastic, well know Doctor who monthly checks my body chemistry and blood. I run 3 miles a day and I also never pursue anything that I even get a slight hesitance again intuitively. If you ask any of my real friends, they will tell you I am extremely intuitive and more often than not, tell THEM they have a health issue before they even know the do.
So rest assured, I am fully aware of what I am doing. I wouldn’t take back the DMT experience for anything in the world. I saw things and learned things that 6 years in hardcore Christianity didn’t teach me. That’s not a slam against Christianity, my belief in Christ will be a cornerstone in my life for as long as I live. It’s simply a statement of fact.
My understanding of the spirit world took on a depth, based on ‘experience’ not 2nd hand here-say, that if I really told what I learned, it would be snickered at by most as the delusions of a drug-filled mind. But I would know and others like me who have dared to go against “Common sense” know whats really out there, at least in part. Im fine Lisa…in fact im better than fine. Im awake.
