Cindy Leaves for Home Tomorrow
Its 9:22pm…
I’m downstairs in my office working on a few things and listening to the swish sound of water running through the walls whenever someone upstairs flushes the toilet or turns the shower on.
Michele’s mom, Cindy, is leaving tomorrow to go back to Alabama. It’s 30 degrees there while the entire week she has been here has been beautiful and warm, so she’s not really looking forward to going back. Also, Michele and I allow her to act and behave in a way more true to herself than her family back home; her family back home being her other daughter Stephanie and her husband and kids. That’s a complex story. I do find it interesting how we can try harder with other people’s parents than we do our own.
An interesting thing happened earlier this evening. The three of us were walking around Prague Square and had really looked forward to chomping down on some of that oh so good ham that gets cooked over an open pit. So while we are getting the food, Cindy goes to grab some seats…nevermind. I just completely lost all desire to recount the story; funny how that happens. I can get all inspired to tell a story or recount something that occured and as soon as I start to tell the damn thing I suddenly lose all desire to tell it. Maybe i’m just tired.
